THE IRISH SYNODAL PATHWAY: Where do we go from here? 

So, where is all this heading? To date there have been different layers of the synodal journey, and people frequently ask where all of these discussions, reports, and working groups are actually leading us. We are approaching a major milestone. The National Synodal Assembly will take place on 17 October 2026. On that day, delegates from every diocese across the country will gather in County Meath to consider proposals, engage in communal discernment, and make practical recommendations for the Catholic Church in Ireland.
